It might e just me, but I reckon you can always tell the desk of an IT/computer expert/geek guycompared to a regular office monkey.

The IT person sees the computer as a work tool and subsequently the desk is usually a riot of peripherals, papers, discs and detritus. The regular office types tend to keep their desks much cleaner and orderly. Is that a fair comment?

sounds like a fair comment to me. mine is usually a complete wreck with computer crap, a quick look round the it department seems to agree with you as well

I read recently something to the effect of: “Strong poets [writers/artists] steal good ideas. Weak ones just imitate them.”

My desk is messy and I’m an IT professional. I hate admin in general so I’m not proving one theory or another with my admission :D
