Thanks for the feedback. The weekly Twitter digest is an experiment that’s still to be refined and/or canned.
I think you should be saving them somewhere and it may as well be the blog, don’t get me wrong – I just find that without context they don’t mean a lot to someone who doesn’t use Twitter.
Thinking out loud here, can you possibly also save the tweet to which you are replying? Would that also make these backups more useful for yourself when you come to look at them later?
