It didn’t tell me I was right.
I think you’re going to get biased results from your blog followers.
Rae, I’ll do a post in the next day or two about it.
Minsk, you might be right :-)
I just learnt that we are Melburnians and not Melbournians… When did that change? ;-)
Mikeys, I think Daniel is correct (Melburnians). It’s better than what those Sydney-based travel-show presenters call us (Melbourne-ites). Groan!
I am from South Australia so haven’t been exposed to the marketing, if there has been any. I guessed it had something to do with public transport, as the circle looked like the SA zone maps for buses and the loopy thing I thought would be a tram going into the city and out again. Also, due to Daniel’s focus on pubtrans. However, I had no idea what the name of the company would be so I voted no. And I think you have always been Melburnians, or at least as long as I can remember.
So if your from Cranbourne, does that mean you’re a Cranburnian, and not a Cranbournian?
@roger – yep he is correct, I had to Google it, but sure enough there is no ‘u’ (why is that?).
Err, rather there is no ‘o’ (it’s late!)
It looks so wrong without the ‘o’, but I know it’s correct. It’s just like pronounce and pronunciation.
Andrew V, if you are from Cranbourne, then you are a bogan!
Sorry to all from Cranbourne…..
I’m not- I’m a proud Dandy boy born and bred! Don’t mess with us!
And Cranbourne ain’t that bad- they’ve got a pretty good Music Centre:
