Late

2:24am. Yeah it’s late, and I’m still up. I’m not even sure why. Time seems to stand still when I’m sitting at this keyboard, going through my mails, nosing around web pages, looking through the handful of Usenet groups I subscribe to. But while time seems like it’s standing still, it’s actually bloody racing by. I’m sure I sat down here only a few minutes ago, and it was about 10pm. Yeah I’d just watched Bill Bryson on the telly. So what happened? I don’t know.

Silly thing is, I don’t plan it this way. If I planned to be sitting here for that long, I’d have planned to do something… worthwhile? I don’t know. Something that I could at least look back on and say: "hey that’s good, I achieved something tonight". Like starting the long awaited re-design for this site, or fiddling around with some of the grand ideas I’ve got for new pages, or putting up more of those waiting vomit stories… But no.

And now I’m sleepy. G’night.
